There’s something magical about sunrise in Houston — the quiet, the glow, the feeling that the whole city is slowly waking up with you. And for Sally and Anthony, that soft morning light was the perfect backdrop for their playful, joy-filled engagement session.
These two are the kind of couple you meet once and instantly understand why they work. Fun. Easy. Completely made for each other. And their story? It’s just as charming as they are.

How Their Story Began
I love when a couple’s “how we met” feels straight out of a rom-com — and that’s exactly the vibe here. Sally was volunteering at a gala, Anthony was competing in a chef’s competition, and somehow wedding cakes and beignets sparked their very first conversation. (Honestly? A dream meet-cute.)
A few exchanged smiles, a business card, and one bold text later… they found themselves on a first date at Tenfold Coffee — the spot that’s now woven into the beginning of their story. They talked for three hours, laughed like they’d known each other forever, and left knowing something special had just begun.
By date two? They both knew they’d found “the one.”
I mean… that’s when you know.

Sabine Street Bridge Sunrise — Houston at Its Prettiest
We kicked off the morning at Sabine Street Bridge, where the skyline was glowing and the light was that dreamy mix of gold + soft haze you only get at sunrise.
Sally and Anthony instantly fell into their rhythm together — laughing, teasing, snuggling into each shot without me prompting too much. They’re playful, warm, and so comfortable being themselves, which made the whole morning feel effortless.
The bridge gave us those classic Houston engagement photos: city views, clean lines, and the perfect “we love our city” vibe.

Eleanor Tinsley Park — Sunshine, Soft Grass, and Big Tree Magic
After soaking up the views at Sabine Street Bridge, we wandered down to Eleanor Tinsley Park — one of my favorite places for engagement photos in Houston. The grass still had that pretty morning dew, and we found the most gorgeous tree casting this soft, dreamy shade.
This part of the session felt quiet and intimate in the best way.
They sank into the moment, told me more about their proposal story (involving a ring box tossed into the grass — truly iconic), and kept each other laughing the entire time.
This is the kind of session where you can actually feel the joy through the images.

A Love Story Rooted in Their Places
What I love most about Sally and Anthony’s session is how deeply personal it was to them. Their story lives in Houston — from meeting at a gala, to their first coffee date at Tenfold, to dancing under the city lights, to their proposal at Eleanor Tinsley Park.
Documenting these spaces — the literal spots their relationship grew — made the photos feel like more than portraits.
They became keepsakes of their story.

Sally & Anthony Are Planning a Wedding That’s So… Them
Fun. Reverent. Intimate.
Those are the words they chose to describe their wedding day, and they’re such a perfect reflection of the energy they bring.
They’re dreaming up a day filled with meaning, connection, and plenty of celebration — the kind of wedding where the moments feel personal, heartfelt, and joy-filled. And if their engagement session is any preview, their wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful.
